Aquaman prepares to swim Down Under, Amber Heard coming with him (sans dogs, probably)

Another superhero is coming down under, as the Australian and Queensland governments announce that DC’s “Aquaman” movie is set to shoot on the Gold Coast.

The shoot will take place at Village Roadshow Studios in Surfer’s Paradise – the studio features the largest purpose-built water tank in Australia.

“Aquaman” follows “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Pacific Rim 2” to film Down Under. The shoot will also mark the return of director James Wan to our shores, who shot “Saw” here in 2004.

Of course Jason Momoa stars in the title role with co-stars Patrick Wilson and Amber Heard (who will make her return to Australia for the first time since that infamous Pistol and Boo incident last year… We’ve heard it’s unlikely Barby Joyce will be on hand to welcome her back…)

“Aquaman” will be released on October 15, 2018.
