Oh jeez… Someone’s cast one of Hollywood’s least-liked actors as one of two white cops who get suspended for police brutality. I feel a bomb in the making…
None other than Mel Gibson is set to star with Vince Vaughn in “Dragged Across Concrete”, a movie from writer/director S. Craig Zahler.
Here’s the official description: In “Dragged Across Concrete”, a stolid, old guard policeman, Ridgeman (Gibson) and his volatile younger partner, Anthony (Vaughn), find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arming tactics become the media’s special du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just due, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows.
I might be judging this one too early, but god I hope they take this in a positive direction.
