Armie Hammer joins cast of Freakshift

Armie Hammer is joining Alicia Vikander in the cast of upcoming flick “Freakshift”, with production expected to begin in August.

The film is an action-thriller that sees a bunch of misfits cops track down and kill nocturnal underground monsters (hopefully not Vampires and Werewolves). Vikander will be the lead female with Hammer portraying her love interest. Director Ben Wheatley also co-wrote the script alongside Amy Jump, and it’s produced by Andrew Starke (via Deadline). No word yet if Hammer will be involved with hunting the monsters, though his height would certainly be of advantage to that cause.

Hammer also stars in the upcoming flick “Free Fire”, having recently been in “Nocturnal Animals” and well known for his portrayal as twins in “The Social Network”. Vikander is currently involved in the “Tomb Raider” reboot, depicting the kick ass Lara Croft, and has been in 2016’s “Jason Bourne” and starred alongside Hammer in “The Man from U.N.C.L.E”.

No word yet on release date.
