Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody casts band

The biopic about the world’s biggest rock band Queen is nearing production quickly, with THR announcing the casting of Freddie Mercury’s bandmates. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is being directed by Bryan Singer, and following the announcement last month that production is imminent, more inroads have been made with Joe Mazzello, Ben Hardy and Gwilym Lee cast as bandmembers.

Mazzello will play bass guitarist John Deacon, Hardy will play drummer Roger Taylor and Lee will play lead guitarist Brian May. Rami Malek has already been announced to play frontman Freddie Mercury.

The production for the film is set for the Fall, with a scheduled release date of Dec. 25, 2018 – merry Christmas indeed.
