Sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in the works with same director & writers

A sequel to last year’s surprise hit “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (which I can only assume will be titled “Jumanji: Paradise City”) has begun progressing, with Deadline reporting that Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are in talks to pen the script.

Rosenberg and Pinkner wrote the first instalment, and are currently writing the script for Sony’s “Venom”. The film will reunite Dwayne Johnson (who will also produce), Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan.

It hasn’t been confirmed, but director Jack Kasden is also reportedly in talks to return to direct the sequel.

Though no plot or title details have been revealed (though I’m totally serious that Sony can steal my idea ^), Sony have given a predicted release period of December 2019.
