Absolutely nothing is outside the realm of possibility in Hollywood anymore. Word is that Kristen Wiig is in talks to play the villain in the 2nd “Wonder Woman” flick, which seems to be Cheetah.
Credit where credit’s due, That Hashtag Show reported the news first that Cheetah would be the key villain in “Wonder Woman 2”, and now Deadline is reporting that Wiig is in talks with Warner Bros. and DC for the role.
Gal Gadot is returning in the lead role, as is Patty Jenkins in the director’s chair, so the addition of Wiig in another lead role would certainly make it a female-centric film. The film will be set in the 80s during the Cold War.
Wiig, while known mainly for her comedic roles, has been in some drama in the past (“The Skeleton Twins”), but this would be her first shot at Super Villain. Stay tuned for updates.
