Michael B. Jordan to produce WWII drama The Liberators

“Black Panther” star (and quite frankly the best Marvel villain thus far) Michael B. Jordan is set to produce WWII drama “The Liberators” under his company Outlier Society Productions with Safehouse Pictures.

According to Variety, the project is based on a spec script written by Madison Turner and tells the story of the 761st regiment in World War II, an entirely African-American combat unit whose heroism led to the desegregation of the armed forces.

It’s not yet known if Jordan will also star in the production.

Along with Jordan, producers are Safehouse Pictures’ Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold, and Outlier Society Production’s Alana Mayo. Safehouse’s Matt Schwartz will executive produce.
