There will be another “Cloverfield” sequel but J.J Abrams says “Overlord”, which opens October 26, is not it.
The movie was heavily rumored to be the fourth film in the “Cloverfield” series but according to the Bad Robot head honcho, speaking to press at CinemaCon, the films aren’t one and the same.

JJ Abrams said Overlord is Bad Robot's first R-Rated movie and swears it's not a secret Cloverfield movie. In fact they are working a dedicated Cloverfield sequel right now.
