Ellen Ripley cameo cut from The Predator!

We all know that, towards the end of this year’s “The Predator”, a sequence was written that would’ve – had the big guy agreed – paved the way for a return appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s franchise-fave ‘Dutch’.

In the scene, ‘Dutch’ would’ve emerged from a chamber wearing a face-cloaking apparatus and been introduced as the ‘Predator Killer’.

When that ending didn’t pan out, thanks to the Oak’s reluctance, producers were forced to come up with other ideas – with only the one plan B seemingly making it to the cameras (the end-sting that exists in the film)… or so we thought.

This will have a few slamming their sweaty fists down on keyboards.

According to Hollywood artist Yuri Everson (via Bloody Disgusting), several different endings were shot, and one alternate take on that final scene was filmed with “Alien” heroine Ellen Ripley (played in the films by Sigourney Weaver) being revealed as the ‘Predator Killer’ instead!

Yep, Ellen ‘mother-hoppin’ Ripley!

Obviously, it didn’t end up in the movie – hell knows why!? – but it was definitely shot.  Breanna Watkins, a stunt player from such films as “Kindergarten Cop 2” and “Deadpool 2” played Ripley in the scene.

Seems like a missed opportunity, and I would’ve loved to have seen it, but at the same time, we all remember what happened the last time Fox decided to combine the “Predator” and “Alien” franchises right?…
