Vin Diesel just promised us more sequels to past hits (and flops)

Vin Diesel has promised both fans and detractors much more of him.

Once he’s finished pimping “Fast 9”, due in May, the action star says he’s headed to a recording booth to lay down some more Groot.

Diesel said that Groot, and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, will appear in next year’s “Thor : Love and Thunder.”

Considering Thor was last seen riding off into the galaxy with Starlord and co, at the end of “Avengers : Endgame”, it should come as no surprise that we’ll see the troupe in the Taika Waititi directed blockbuster.

“The director talked to me about Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy,” Diesel told Comicbook.com Monday. “That’ll be very interesting, nobody knows, maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”

Further down the road, Diesel tells the site we’ll also be seeing the long-awaited “Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3”.

“I only have two words about that character and it is ‘Alpha Groot,'” Diesel added. “I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next one out of the park.”

Diesel, who is out on the promo trail for his new film “Bloodshot”, tells Collider he’s also developing a sequel to “The Last Witch Hunter”.

“When a Last Witch Hunter comes out and it doesn’t destroy the box office you, under the old thinking, would go, ‘Well, maybe I should focus on something else.’ But nowadays what’s fascinating is that movies find you somehow.”

And with people seemingly discovering the film on disc and streaming, Diesel said the studio is ready.

“Lionsgate is coming and saying, ‘We’re putting a writer on for the next one.’ That’s kinda cool! … And this is just recent, by the way. But it’s funny that you mentioned Last Witch Hunter because I’m in a meeting with Lionsgate and they’re actively creating the sequel to The Last Witch Hunter.”
