Kevin Bacon will play the villain in Legendary’s remake of Troma classic “The Toxic Avenger”.
The “Tremors” actor joins Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige in the Macon Blair directed film, which shoots in Bulgaria next month.
Blair also wrote the script for the story of a struggling everyman who, when pushed into a vat of toxic waste, is transformed into a mutant freak who must go from shunned outcast to underdog hero as he races to save his son, his friends, and his community from the forces of corruption and greed.
Bacon, whose villainous turns can be seen in “Super” and “X-Men : First Class”, plays a slick nasty while Dinklage is the hero.
