New pics from the set of Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop : Axel F have hit, with eagle-eyed photo-journalists nabbing pics of Eddie Murphy’s reunion with ‘Serge’ actor Bronson Pinchot.
Pinchot, who dons a blonde wig this time around, is seen driving Murphy and co-stars Taylour Paige and Joseph Gordon-Levitt around in a sequence shot recently.
That Dirty Black Bag‘s Gaia Scodellaro will join Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning in The Equalizer 3 over at Sony.
Written by Richard Wenk, and directed by series staple Antoine Fuqua, the film’s plot is being kept under wraps but hits September 1, 2023.
While The Equalizer series will continue on the big screen, the long-running Kickboxer franchise next takes to the small-screen.
A TV series based on the martial arts flicks are in the works with Fast and the Furious scribe Gary Scott Thompson serving as showrunner on a new series.
The film will fix on the brother of Kurt Sloane – the character played by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the original film – who is thrust into the world of international geopolitical intrigue.
In Operation: Kickboxer, says Deadline, “Sloane must go undercover as an MMA contender, using his clout to gain access to targets around the world, while remaining in contention for the champion title belt.”
Todd Garner (“Mortal Kombat”) and Dimitri Logothetis (“Jiu Jitsu”) will executive produce and shooting aims to begin next year.
