Dwayne Johnson and Justin Lin, star and director of several Fast & Furious films, are said to be reuniting for sci-fi action blockbuster The Vanguard.
The news hails from Giant Freakin Robot who says the Sony-produced film would feature the Black Adam star “as a soldier leading a team of elite fighters trying to stop an alien invasion.”
As the site reminds us, it’s an interesting reunion “considering Vin Diesel helped turn The Rock’s refusal to return for this year’s Fast X into a veritable scandal, while Lin famously walked away from the penultimate film in the Fast and Furious series reportedly because of the difficulties of working with Diesel.”
Johnson and Lin first collaborated on 2011’s Fast Five.
