Scott hatching Alien TV series; will serve as second Prometheus sequel

Stars of those films are returning

Ridley Scott will be bringing the world of Prometheus and Alien Covenant to a smaller medium, along with stars Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston, in a new sequel series for television.

Scott, who isn’t directly involved in the other Alien related series that Noah Hawley is hatching as we speak, would be all over this one.

The series, says Giant Freakin Robot, would continue the yarn Scott kicked off in 2012’s Prometheus – set 29 years before the events of Alien (1979) – and continued with 2017 sequel Alien : Covenant.

Though the studio canned plans Scott had for a third film in the trilogy, he’ll get to continue the narrative on either Disney+ or Hulu.
