Will a Mighty Duck score in Vegas!?

Former Capeside resident Joshua Jackson has joined the cast of director Stephen Frears’ “Lay the Favorite”, says Variety.

The “Fringe” (and, of course, “Dawson’s Creek”) star joins Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Rebecca Hall in the true story of Beth Raymer, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who became a pro gambler. Raymer (to be played by “The Town” actress Hall) changed her ways when she fell in love.

No word on who Jackson plays; possibly the love interest?

I like Jackson, I think he’s a highly underrated actor (check out “Bobby”) and think it’s great he’s finally carving out a lucrative bigscreen career for himself.
