Wanna know what the title of the Zorro reboot might be?

Last week word hit the interlube (I feel almost dirty typing that) that Sony were in the process of dusting off the charcoal coat and mask for a not-so-overdue “Zorro” reboot.

Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia had been hired to write the film, which would serve as an origin story and not have anything to do with Antonio Banderas or Catherine-Zeta Jones (I demand an all ‘ugly people’ “Zorro” next time around; those other two were crammed with way too many pretty people). There will be a ‘Z’ though. I guess. Maybe a sword.

Fusible tell us they’ve spotted some interesting domain registrations over the past few days and believe they may have uncovered possible titles for the film.

Either “The Forging of Zorro” or “Zorro: The Legend Begins”, according to 21 domain names registered by Sony Pictures on October 10, 2011, that include domains like TheForgingofZorromovie.com and ZorroThelegendbeginsmovie.com.

Zorro: The Legend Begins was the title of a pilot TV movie for the 1990 revival of Zorro.

Since Sony’s doing the registering, I guess it’s safe to say Pete from Moviehole isn’t getting about in black gowns these days and is snapping up every domain he can think of that might tie-in with his new choice of attire.

Whatcha think of those titles? “Legend Begins” sounds kinda vanilla, yeah!?
