Adam Goldberg Joins Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story

Variety is reporting that “A Beautiful Mind” actor Adam Goldberg has joined Matthew Wilder’s “Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story” opposite Malin Akerman.

Goldberg is in final negotiations to play “Deep Throat” star Harry Reems.

Wilder will direct from his own screenplay, based on the 1980 memoir “Ordeal: An Autobiography,” which Lovelace wrote with Mike McGrady. Lovelace became world famous in 1972 due to the massive success of “Deep Throat” but renounced her pornography career in “Ordeal” and alleged that it had been forced upon her by pornographer husband Chuck Traynor, who will be played by Matt Dillon.

Additional actors and actresses cast in the film include Paz de la Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire”), former porn star Sasha Grey (“Entourage”) and Harold Perrineau, who will play Linda’s sometimes-lover Sammy Davis Jr. Weyant (“The Young and the Restless”) is also expected to take on a supporting role.

“Inferno” will begin filming in early February in Louisiana.
