Stephen Amell, who played Brady on the network’s “Vampire Diaries”, has won the role of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in The CW’s “Arrow”, according to Deadline.
David Nutter is directing the pilot for the series, which is written/executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim.
Though the character of Green Arrow played a part on TV’s “Smallville”, which wrapped last year, “Arrow” isn’t a spin-off nor is it connected to the young Superman series.
