Trailer for This is Forty starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann

Sophie here,

Tonally, it looks like it’s a bit like a car with bad treads swirling around slippery mountain slopes… but I bet it’s still significantly more enjoyable than half the other so-called comedies on release these days. Speaking about Judd Apatow’s “This is Forty”, a spin-off (of sorts) to his sweet, silly ode to impending parenthood “Knocked Up” – with Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their roles from the earlier film.
And though Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl and most others involved in an on-screen capacity for the last one aren’t involved (though Jason Segel has a cameo) this time around, their absence is more than made up for with the presence of cutie “Bridesmaids” actor Chris Dowd and the legendary comedian Albert Brooks (“Broadcast News”), playing Rudd’s father.

As I said, the trailer gives the film that ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ feel, but hopefully that’s just the errors of the trailer house and not a representation of the film, which will be in cinemas for Christmas.

Count me in!
