1. A Trailer for the new USA network series “Graceland”, an undercover coppers show starring ‘Franco’ from “Rescue Me”, among others, is online.
2. “American Gothic” creator Shaun Cassidy and “Homeland” EP Howard Gordon are teaming on a new adventure drama series for Fox. The show “centers on two former CIA operatives — now married with teenagers — who are forced to face their past when their identities are exposed and they’re nearly killed. Now they’ll need to start over, under new cover, this time with their children in on the secret as they tackle cases, come together as a family, and elude those who would rather see them dead.”
3. Adam Wingart will direct, and Simon Barrett will rewrite “Dead Spy Running”, a project being fast-tracked over at Warners. Said flickeroo “follows Danny Marchant, a young DJ on the rise in the international world of electronic dance music. Danny is forced to go on the run with a beautiful secret agent assigned to watch him after he is framed for his MI6 agent father’s murder. As Danny tries to clear his name and avenge his father’s death, he gets deeper into the world of espionage while never forgetting his background and skills as a DJ. Danny must ultimately rise up and defeat a terrorist intent on destroying western civilization in an adventure that takes him through the world to London, Paris, Corsica, New York, and Mumbai.”
4. Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have announced a May 16, 2014 release date for Gareth Edwards’ take on “Godzilla”.
5. Isabelle Fuhrman will replace Chloe Moretz in “The Wilderness of James”, a coming-of-age story starring Kodi Smit-McPhee as a young boy dealing with the absence of his father. Moretz awas forced to drop out because of her “Kick-Ass 2” commitments.
6. “Entourage” favourite Jerry ‘Turtle’ Ferrara has joined the cast of “Last Vegas”, the ‘Hangover for the Metamucil crowd’ starring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman. Ferrara plays a young punk in the comedy.
7. Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner will play Zooey Deschanel’s on-screen parents in an upcoming episode of “New Girl“.
8. Set Pics from The Hangover Part III”, now filming in Los Angeles, are online.
9. Adaptations of James Ellroy’s “Blood’s a Rover” and “The Big Nowhere” are in the works.
10. Producer Edward R.Pressman wants all work and promotion to cease on the about-to-lens Jesse Eisenberg movie “Night Moves”, which the Edward R.Pressman Film CEO claims is a blatant rip-off of a film he has in the works at his shingle called “The Monkey Wrench Gang”.
