Kristen Wiig books Anchorman sequel

Adam McKay, helmer of the “Anchorman” sequel, just revealed on Twitter who he has nabbed for the Will Ferrell-starring comedy.

Christina Applegate, returning as Ron Burgundy’s one-time newsroom competition in “Anchorman : The Legend of Ron Burgundy”, has also expressed her excitement to have Wiig onboard. Here’s her Tweet :

Apparently Wiig (“Friends with Kids”, “Bridesmaids”) is playing the wife of Steve Carell’s character, Brick.
