Red Dog’s Josh Lucas is on The Mend

The very likeable Josh Lucas (seriously, he’s a top bloke off-screen, too) recently received a bit of bad news : his series “Occult”, despite Michael Bay’s name in the credit block, didn’t get picked up.

Still, doesn’t look like it’ll hurt his bank balance or reputation too much. The star of the short-lived “The Firm” and Aussie hit “Red Dog” fronts the indie feature “The Mend”, a family drama about ”the sour and aging Mat, who crashes his younger brother Alan’s party and insinuates himself into Alan’s apartment and life”, according to Deadline.

The flick mustn’t have required much, it’s already in the can, as of last week.

John Magary wrote and directed the quickly-shot effort.
