With Peter Capaldi gearing up to take the reins from Matt Smith, it seems the “Doctor Who” team is hell-bent on sending Smith out on a string of “specials”.
The 50th anniversary special, “Day of the Doctor”, aired last month, breaking records as it was watched by audiences of millions across the globe.
Now, BBC America has release a 30 second trailer for the upcoming “Doctor Who” Christmas Special, set to air on Christmas Day.

Capaldi will soon become the 12th Time Lord in the show’s history. He has large shoes to fill however, Smith having been largely credited, along with his predecessor David Tennant, for drawing a younger audience to the show.
