Writers board Last Witch Hunter, Chronicle 2

Summit’s “The Last Witch Hunter” has recruited Oscar nominated “Dallas Buyers Club” screenwriter Melisa Wallack to polish the script, originally penned by Cory Goodman and reviewed by D.W. Harper.

The film company also announced that Lakeshore Entertainment has come on board to co-finance and co-produce the project, with Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Eric Reid to exec produce.

Breck Eisner will direct the fantasy-action flick which will star Vin Diesel as an immortal witch hunter. He partners up with a witch to defend humanity from a plague released by the covens of New York City.

Meanwhile, newcomer Jack Stanley has been hired to write Fox’s “Chronicle 2”. The original $12m dollar superhero film went on to make $126m worldwide. Fox will assumingly be getting the sequel up soonish.
