The next “Hobbit” film may undergo a title change from “The Hobbit : There and Back” to “The Hobbit : Into the Fire”.
Due to a lackluster performance at the U.S Box office, the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starrer “Sabotage” is going direct-to-DVD in Australia.
Bookended with two multi-‐2014 Goya-‐Award-‐winning titles – “Living is Easy with Eyes Closed” (Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados) and “Witching and Bitching” (Las brujas de Zugarramurdi) – the 17th Spanish Film Festival, presented by Estrella Damm, will feature 30 of the very best and most recent Spanish and Spanish-‐language Latin American films, screening at Palace Cinemas nationally from 29 April. This year, the Festival is thrilled to present a programme of Australian premieres and also celebrate the arrival of very special guest, actor Álex González. Matthew Tolmach, the producer of “Amazing Spider-Man 2” and the upcoming “Sinister Six”, was at the premiere in Berlin yesterday of the “Spider-Man” sequel and hinted in an interview with MoviePilot.de that a ‘female’ villain may form part of the “Sinister Six” line-up. Here’s the official synopsis : enry Shackleford is a young slave living in the Kansas Territory in 1857, when the region is a battleground between anti- and pro-slavery forces. When John Brown, the legendary abolitionist, arrives in the area, an argument between Brown and Henry’s master quickly turns violent. Henry is forced to leave town—with Brown, who believes he’s a girl. Over the ensuing months, Henry—whom Brown nicknames Little Onion—conceals his true identity as he struggles to stay alive. Eventually Little Onion finds himself with Brown at the historic raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859—one of the great catalysts for the Civil War.
“Expendables 3” director Patrick Hughes says his remake of Gareth Evans’ “The Raid” will follow a “DEA task team, which was implemented by the Bush administration after September 11th when they realized that terrorism and the drug trade were so closely aligned. So they set up a DEA task team that’s six units and they work across borders and sort of act like Navy SEALS. You never read about it, you never hear about it, but they go on these missions. So that’s a really interesting take and a really nice premise and also what’s interesting on this take on it is the clash of cultures and the clash of martial arts, the fighting styles, which is something that’s going to be a lot of fun when we’ve really started pre-vizzing stuff.”
