Jon M.Chu steps up to direct Now You See Me 2

“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” director Jon M. Chu may helm Lionsgate’s “Now You See Me” sequel.
The director is in talks with the company to helm the pic which will see Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Mark Ruffalo return to reprise their roles.
Lionsgate are looking to get production underway in the US fall however no release date has been set.
“Now You See Me” grossed $350 million worldwide when it was released last year. Louis Leterrier directed the pic which followed The Four Horseman – a group of four magicians – as they attempted to publically pull off the ultimate bank heist.
Beside “G.I. Joe”, Chu’s directorial credits include three “Step Up” films, two “Justin Bieber” documentaries and the upcoming “Jem and the Holograms.”
