Universal has skedded both it’s “Mummy” reboot and the “Snow White & The Huntsman” spin-off for 2016 dates.
“The Mummy”, to be directed by Alex Kurtzman, was originally due to open April 22, but will now open two months later – suggesting the studio are confident it’ll be a big Summer smash – on June 24.
Taking the original release date of “The Mummy” is Frank Darabont’s “The Huntsman”, with Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron reprising their roles from 2012’s “Snow White and the Huntsman”.
“The Mummy” is said to be a complete rehaul of the popular monster movie series; this one will be more action-adventure skewed.
