Christian Bale out of Jobs

Christian Bale is no longer in line to play Steve Jobs.

Bale has dropped out of Sony’s Jobs biopic following early talks to play the Apple founder.

While a deal was never officially done, writer Aaron Sorkin recently told Bloomberg that Bale had the part.

“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale,” he said. “It’s an extremely difficult part and he’s gonna crush it.”

Leonardo DiCaprio also previously passed on the role. Seth Rogen is in negotiations to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Danny Boyle is directing the untitled biopic with Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady producing.
