During a recent appearance at the Wizard World convention, former “Walking Dead” star Jon Bernthal dropped hints that he might be reuniting with his “Fury” director David Ayer on the much-talked-about “Suicide Squad”.
The film a band of DC Comics’ most famous super-villains – including The Joker (who it’s been revealed Jared Leto is in talks to play) and Lex Luthor (to be played by “Batman v Superman” actor Jesse Eisenberg) – as they’re assigned to complete missions for an arm of the government.
Having just praised director Ayer, Bernthal was asked by an attendee at the convention whether or not he might be interested in a role in “Suicide Squad”.
Renegade Cinema reports :
“I can’t talk about that right now.” The moderator made a joke about him dodging the question, and the site adds that he then “went into repair mode and said that he didn’t mean it like that and that he loved working with David Ayer and would like to work with him in the future. However, he never denied that he was up for a role and never mentioned it again.”
Bernthal has obviously been approached or has discussed a possible role in the film – – which do you think he would be suitable for readers?
“Suicide Squad” will also star Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Tom Hardy.
