The “Ghosbusters” reboot will keep it’s original setting.
Director Paul Feig says his all-female take on the ’80s classic will stay put in the Big Apple.
“To me it’s such a New York movie and the biggest sin would be to pull it out of there.”
The “Bridesmaids” director went on to tell Empire Online that the reason he decided to reboot Ivan Reitman’s classic is because it “never ran out of steam, it’s such a great idea, It’s such a fun franchise so why not bring it to a new generation? The old movie is never going to not exist. It’s not my plan to erase every copy! Hopefully they can all live together.”
Though Melissa McCarthy is reportedly in talks to star in the film, Feig would only confirm as much.
