Whoopi Goldberg will co-star with Jermaine Fowler in ABC’s multi-camera comedy pilot “Delores & Jermaine”.
Guess who’s playing who… Yep, Fowler will play himself in the pilot based on his life. Goldberg will play his Grandmother, a football-loving former cop who needs her grandson’s youthful enthusiasm just as much as he needs her parenting when Jermaine moves in with his strict estranged grandmother.
So what does this mean for Goldberg’s future at “The View”?
As she’s still under contract for another year, should “Delores & Jermaine” get a series order, Goldberg will work on both projects simultaneously in New York. “Delores & Jermaine” would schedule production around “The View”.
