Some pretty big “Homeland” news has come out of PaleyFest this weekend: the show’s fifth season will be set two and a half years after the fourth and Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) “will no longer be an intelligence officer”.
What?! The minds of “Homeland” fans across the globe are being blown as we speak!
Also revealed was the shooting schedule for the drama with production set to kick off later this year in Europe, most likely in Germany.
The opening session of PaleyFest took place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood Friday night with “Homeland” showrunner Alex Gansa dropping the teasers during a Q&A with stars Claire Danes & Maury Sterling and exec producers of the show.
Gansa stressed the important role that Germany/Europe would play in the upcoming season, mentioning themes of Western security issues and terrorism.
