As expected, Fox are bringing “24” back for another go-round. It will, however, not star Kiefer Sutherland.
Sutherland may guest star in the new incarnation, weaving in and out of the new series, but the main character will be a “twenty something male terrorist hunter”.
According to TV Line, the young hotshot would be teamed with an older, seasoned female agent (not Yvonne Strahovski’s character from “24 : Live Another Day”, though she may appear in the series).
EP Howard Gordon hopes that the reboot could let to being a “long-term property for Fox”, according to the outlet.
Sutherland had long expressed a desire to retire Jack Bauer after last year’s event series.
