Trailer: The Stanford Prison Experiment

The trailer for real-life psychological thriller “The Stanford Prison Experiment” has been released.

Besed on the 1971 true story, the film centres on Stanford University professor Dr. Philip Zimbardo, who cast 24 student volunteers as prisoners and guards in a simulated jail to examine the source of abusive behavior in the prison system. The results astonished the world, as participants went from middle-class undergrads to drunk-with-power sadists and submissive victims in just a few days.

Kyle Patrick Alvarez directed the film starring Billy Crudup, Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Tye Sheridan, Keir Gilchrist, Michael Angarano and Thomas Mann. Tim Talbott penned the script.

“The Stanford Prison Experiment” opens in theatres in limited release on July 17 and on VOD on July 24.
