Avatar sequel still two years away!

Fox have confirmed that the next “Avatar” movie won’t be out until 2017.

Speaking at Gabelli & Company’s Movie & Entertainment Conference in New York City, the studio’s co-chairman Jim Gianopulos said the trilogy will now roll out Christmas Day 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively.

“Jim Cameron has his own pace”, Gianopulos said in response to the delay.

The co-chairman visited Cameron’s offices in New Zealand two months ago – where the three films are being shot simultaneously – and said “It’s a room…which is covered floor to ceiling with images, characters, worlds, settings. It’s the most amazing, breathtaking thing you’ve ever seen. His challenge is to put all of that in a movie.”
