Amy Poehler is set to produce and star in an untitled basketball comedy for Universal.
The film will centre on Poehler’s character – a once-promising basketball coach who is asked to take the helm of an NBA team.
David Stassen will co-write the screenplay with Ike Barinholtz, who will also appear in the film.
Poehler will produce via her Paper Kite Productions with Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark of Bluegrass Films. Brooke Posch, Barinholtz and Stassen will exec produce.
