Aaron Eckhart is set to star opposite Tom Hanks in Warner Bros’ Miracle on Hudson film.
Hanks stars as Capt. Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who safely landed his plane full of 155 passengers in the Hudson River after both engines were knocked out by a flock of geese. The event became widely known as The Miracle on Hudson.
Eckhart will play Jeff Skiles, the first officer and co-pilot on the Airbus A320. He was manually flying the plane when the birds crashed into the engines and helped Sully safely land the plane.
Clint Eastwood is helming the film from Todd Komarnicki’s script.
