Blade 4 to be headlined by a female, with Snipes supporting?

A few weeks back, Wesley Snipes mentioned in an interview that he’d been talking to Marvel about possibly reprising Blade for a fourth movie in the film series. And seems that might still be the case – but there’s a twist.

The next “Blade” film, says Bleeding Cool, will fix on the offspring of Snipes’ character with the original vampiric hero playing somewhat of a supporting ‘mentor’ role in the film.

The film would be based on an upcoming series that chronicles the adventures of The Daywalker and his newly-created daughter. “Blade #1” was due to hit shelves in October, but Marvel has delayed the comics due to the development of the new film. Seems the yarns within the comics will be used as the blueprint for the screenplay.

Here’s the description of the comic :

“Fallon Grey is a sixteen year old girl from rural Oregon. Nominated for Prom Queen, Captain of the debate team, most popular girl in her class. But there is another side to Fallon. A feeling like there’s something more inside of her. When terror strikes her small town, she’ll find out just how right she was. As fearsome supernatural forces hunt Fallon, she’ll come face to face with something even more shocking than the monsters on her tail. Eric Brooks…Blade…her father?! And in each other, they’ll discover the purpose they’ve each been struggling to find.”
