Marvel’s “Black Panther” film may have a writer in Joe Robert Cole.

TheWrap reports the “American Crime Story” scribe is nearing a deal to pen the script of the superhero film about the titular hero (aka T’Challa) from the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

Chadwick Boseman will star in the titular role with Andy Serkis expected to return to reprise his “Avengers: Age of Ultron” role as Ulysses Klaw (though this hasn’t been confirmed).

Kevin Feige is on board to produce “Black Panther” which is due to open on July 6, 2018.
