Rebecca Ferguson in talks for The Snowman

Rebecca Ferguson is in talks to join Michael Fassbender in Working Title’s “The Snowman”.

Tomas Alfredson is directing from a script by Matthew Michael Carnahan about an idiosyncratic detective named Harry Hole, who must investigate the murder of a woman whose scarf is found wrapped around a snowman.

The film is based on the Harry Hole book series by Norwegian author Jo Nesbo.

According to Deadline, both parties are keen to get the deal done ASAP in order to firm up a January start date.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Robyn Slovo and Piodor Gustafsson. Martin Scorsese is exec producing with Nesbo, Niclas Salomonsson and Working Title’s Liza Chasin & Amelia Granger.
