Entertainment Weekly got word from DreamWorks production executive Walter Parkes and producer Roy Lee that they are about to work on either a sequel or prequel, though probably won’t be using the template of the Japanese follow-ups. "we develop a script for a sequel and a prequel, and go with whichever comes together first", says Parkes. He says he’d like Gore Verbinski to direct again, Ehren Kruger to write it again and Naomi Watts to star in it again.
