Comic-Con : New art for Chappie, Goosebumps, Pixels, The Interview & more

Comic-Con is barely underway… actually, it’s not. In fact, the no-doze inebriated worker-bees are still sticking up posters, splicing together standees, tightly locking the cage on the “Apes” display, and making sure the Gonzo T-Shirts are hanging up the right-way on the display-web. And nobody has even attempted to pull on their skin-tight superhero costumes over last year’s Pie meat. We’re still a day away from Preview night. Two days away from the first official day. Three days away – I’m guessing – from some Poindexter stabbing a Jabba the Hut in the groin with his Krull knife because he jumped in front of him in Emma Caulfield’s autograph line. So, it’s not crazy yet – busy, but not crazy.

A few lucky webournalists (made that word up just now) have managed to capture some snaps inside the Con (as I said, they’re still setting up in there so not a lot to see) as well as outside the Star Destroyer-sized convention center.

The first poster for Neil Blomkamp’s “Chappie” has been spotted (that’s the robot thing starring Hugh Jackman), as well as one for Adam Sandler & Pac-Man two-hander “Pixels”, Seth Rogen and James Franco’s latest “The Interview”, and the Jack Black-starrer “Goosebumps”. Banners for “Fury” starring Brad Pitt, “Pixels”,  and “Goosebumps” are also there.

A pop-up video arcade for “Pixels” is also standing upright in nerdpalooza.

On the show room floor, you’ll see cool “Star Wars” things like these, loads of “Guardians of the Galaxy” coolness, and you’ll see this cool “Walking Dead” Season 5 banner and poster lurking about.
