Has the star of live-action Star Wars series been found!?

Pedro Pascal, best known for his work on “Game of Thrones”, could be headed to a galaxy far, far away.

According to MakingStarWars, the actor is heavily rumored to be playing a lead role in the new live-action “Star Wars” series, which is reportedly gearing up for a shoot in Southern California.

The series, executive produced by “Iron Man” helmer Jon Favreau, won’t feature any of the characters from the “Star Wars” film trilogies though it’s reportedly set about three years after the events in “Return of the Jedi”.

According to the aforesaid site, the “show is rumored to be about Mandalorians after the fall of the Empire and the series will involve familiar locations to like Mandalore and Tatooine.”

Pascal, whose role hasn’t been disclosed, is also known for his roles in such studio fare as “The Equalizer 2”, “The Great Wall” and “Kingsman : The Golden Circle”.

The “Star Wars” series will premiere on Disney’s forthcoming streaming service.
