Jake Gyllenhaal in Talks to Replace Dominic Cooper in Motor City

Well, so much for that. After starring in such films like “My Week with Marilyn” and “The Devil’s Double”, it seems that Dominic Cooper is out of Albert Hughes’ “Motor City” and instead, will be replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal, who was last seen on screen in “Source Code” and recently wrapped working on “End of Watch”.

Variety is reporting that Gyllenhaal is now in negotiations to star after Cooper bowed out due to scheduling conflicts.

“Motor City” follows the story of a felon who, after being released from prison, begins tracking down the men who framed him.

Amber Heard joined the cast back in November with Gary Oldman also onboard.

Chad St. John penned the script with Silver producing through his Dark Castle shingle, along with Andrew Rona. Ethan Erwin and Doug Urbanski are exec producing.

“Motor City ” will be out sometime next year.
