Jeremy Renner will star in a new sci-fi flick about aliens invading the earth.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Renner has boarded “Story of Your Life” which has Amy Adams attached to star and “Prisoners” director Denis Villeneuve attached to helm.
The film is based on Ted Chiang’s short story about aliens landing on Earth. The military then recruits a linguist expert (Adams) to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. Renner will play a physics professor brought on to help communicate with the aliens.
Eric Heisserer penned the script.
Glen Basner’s FilmNation will produce with David Linde’s Lava Bear Films and 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Dan Levine.
