New Poster, Images and Trailer for The Five-Year Engagement

Universal Pictures has debuted a new trailer for Nicholas Stoller’s (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) next comedy, “The Five-Year Engagement”. Stoller will re-team with Jason Segel, who both worked together on “Sarah Marshall”.

The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall reteam for the irreverent comedy The Five-Year Engagement.  Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (“Knocked Up”, “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”) and Rodney Rothman (“Get Him to the Greek”) looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.  The film was written by Segel and Stoller.

There’s no doubt that Segel is currently on fire with the recent success of “The Muppets” so this film looks to be another hit for the comedic actor. Alison Brie (from TV’s “Community”), Rhys Ifans, Chris Pratt, Jim Piddock (“Get Him to the Greek”), Australia’s Jacki Weaver (“Animal Kingdom”) and Kevin Hart also star in the film.

“The Five-Year Engagement” will open in theaters on April 27, 2012 and May 17, 2012 in Australia. Check out the new images and trailer below via Yahoo! Movies.
