Ray Stevenson – Black Sails

STARZ Network’s hit series “Black Sails” is set to return this weekend, Saturday January 23rd. “Sails” follows Captain Flint and his pirates twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic book “Treasure Island.” Stevenson who is known for roles such as Marcus in “Divergent”/ “Insurgent” and Titus on “Rome” will be joining Zach McGowan (Captain Charles Vane), Toby Stephens (Captain Flint), Luke Arnold (John Silver), and Hannah New (Eleanor Guthrie) among other talents in this very well assembled ensemble as Edward Teach – otherwise known as Blackbeard.

Recently my colleague Michael Focas and I were able to speak with Stevenson about his upcoming role. We spoke about the chaos Blackbeard will be entering into, where he drew inspiration for the role and the type of mischief we can expect him to cause. View the interview below, and be sure to stay tuned after for the blooper. More information about “Black Sails” can be found at www.STARZ.com.
