When it was announced that Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids”) had signed for the female “Ghostbusters” film, most assumed he’d approach his usual go-to actors – Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig, Rebel Wilson, and so on – about being part of it.
Seems most are on the right track.
Rebel Wilson, who was in Feig’s “Bridesmaids”, tells Today that she’s had a meeting about the movie. And yes, she’s interested.
“I have had a meeting,” Wilson reveals. “But who knows? They will have to look at the script when it’s finished… I’d do that for free. I probably shouldn’t say that live on TV.”
Wilson, who next appears in “Night at the Museum : Secret of the Tomb”, would participate in a story not directly related to the first two “Ghostbusters” movies. As far as Feig’s movie is concerned, this is a whole new world.. universe.. one that doesn’t include Venkman and the original guy foursome.
