TV News: New Girl/Brooklyn Nine-Nine crossover, The Simpsons, Mariah Carey, Legends of Tomorrow, Lucifer, Gotham

Fox is working on an hour-long “New Girl” and Brooklyn Nine-Nine” crossover episode.

Plot details have not been announced yet. The crossover will air on Tuesday, October 11.

 

 

The first-ever hourlong episode of “The Simpsons” is on it’s way.

The episode, titled “The Great Phatsby”, will air in January on Fox and feature the guest voices of Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key.

 

 

Mariah Carey has signed on to guest star and perform on the upcoming third season of “Empire”.

Carey will play Kitty, a superstar who comes to Empire to collaborate with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) on an explosive new song. When the duet encounters obstacles, Kitty helps Jamal dig deep to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough.

Keep an eye out for Carey’s episode on October 5. The show’s third season will premiere on September 21 at 9PM.

 

 

Sarah Grey has joined the cast of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”.

Grey will play Justice Society of America member Stargirl in the show’s upcoming second season, reports IGN.

 

 

Michael Imperioli will play a new brother of Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel (DB Woodside) on the second season of Fox’s “Lucifer”.

Imperioli has been cast in the role of angel Uriel in the show which will return to TV on September 19, at 9PM ET/PT.

 

 

Another “Gotham” character poster has debuted, giving us our first look at Maggie Geha as Poison Ivy.

The third season of the show will premiere on September 19 at 8PM ET on FOX.
