The Secret World

Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil company is prepping a TV series based on the video game “The Secret World”.

Teaming with Gudrun Giddings on the project, “Secret World” will follow a team of undercover agents, battling the supernatural, and the shadowy war between secret societies.

James V. Hart (“Hook,” “Crossbones”), Jake Hart, and former “CSI: NY” showrunner Pam Veasey will script.

The Kominsky Method

Screen vets Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are teaming with “Two and-a-half Men” producer Chuck Lorre for a new Hollywood-set sitcom to air on Netflix.

“The Kominsky Method” will see Douglas play an actor who, years ago, had a short burst of success and now works as a Hollywood acting coach. Arkin plays his friend and agent.

The series will mark Douglas’s first since his big break on ’70s cop show “The Streets of San Francisco”.

Quantum and Woody

Joel McHale is in talks for “Quantum and Woody,” the Joe & Anthony Russo action/comedy series based on the comic property from Valiant Entertainment.

The former “Community” star would play “Woody Henderson — a wisecracking, womanizing slacker, who along with his straitlaced adoptive brother, is granted unpredictable superpowers from a pair of energy control bands they find while investigating their father’s death. The two are now stuck with each other — they must “klang” the bands together every 24 hours or their powers will kill them.”

Casting for the other lead – Woody’s African-American adopted brother, Quantum – is also expected to net a big name.
